The Fit and Fabulous Health and Wellness Expo is the premier women’s health initiative in Dallas – Fort Worth and the surrounding area. In addition to an exhibit hall showcasing vendors from the health, wellness, beauty, and fitness industries, the event features seminars on timely subjects affecting the health of our community.
The Expo is held annually through a partnership between Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Tau Rho Omega Chapter and the Women of Pearls Community Action Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Tau Rho Omega Chapter was founded in January of 1993. Our service area includes the cities of Carrollton, Lewisville, Coppell, Flower Mound and Irving, Texas. Women of Pearls Community Action Foundation, founded in 2017, mission is to support programs and initiatives that enhance economic and educational week-being, and address health disparities and social inequality.
The event is in its fourth year, and it will be held October 28, 2023 at the Hilton Garden Inn Lewisville Convention Center from 9 am until 3 pm. Join us for a Health and Wellness Homecoming!

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® (AKA) is a service organization that was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1908. AKA is comprised of over 300,000 women in the United States and internationally. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is dedicated to implementing programs of service that enhance the social, economic, and educational well-being of our local, national, and international communities. The Tau Rho Omega Chapter was founded in January of 1993. Our service area includes the cities of Carrollton, Lewisville, Coppell, Flower Mound and Irving, Texas. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our service area virtually grew due to our savvy and successful use of virtual platforms and social media. We are delighted to partner with the Women of Pearls Community Action Foundation present the fourth annual Fit and Fabulous Health and Wellness Expo as part of our ongoing commitment to our community and mission. Women of Pearls CAF (Women of Pearls CAF ), a 501 (c) (3) organization, is dedicated to supporting programs and initiatives that enhance economic and educational well-being; and address health disparities and social inequality. Women of Pearls CAF is committed to closing the gap in health disparities by working collaboratively in the communities we serve to increase wellness and healthcare awareness, promoting healthy living and partnering with organizations aimed at achieving health equity.
